Epic Fail: NOTD - China Glaze's Tempest

I think the reason I bought this was because it looked like my favorite Urban Decay purple eye shadow, Ransom. I thought, 'can't go wrong.' Psh! You so can. I used 3 coats and it still came out streaking and pretty translucent. After it tried and I added a top coat, it started peeling. I applied the Crackle polish on my right hand and it got chunky for some reason. Not my nail day. :( This is a big ole pass, people!

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 20

Day 20 - A picture of somewhere you'd love to travel.

Egypt is next on my list to travel. I wont enjoy the 18 hour flight for sure, but this is so on my bucket list. :)

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 19

Day 19 - A picture of you when you were little.

And you wonder why I like to dress up? ha.

2011 Grammy's - Katy Perry Inspired Makeup

I didn't watch the Grammy's. I am just not a fan of these award shows. They are just so...boring. I do look online to see what dresses the women wore and makeup was done. But in all seriousness the makeup is usually boring. Same old bronze smokey eye on well, everyone. When I saw Katy Perry's bright makeup I was ecstatic. Yay, Katy! I read online that her makeup artist used all Cover Girl. Do you believe that? Cause I don't! haha. This is my recreate.

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 18

Day 18 - A picture from a trip you went on.

This is from when I went to London the end of last year. We took one of those all day tour bus things and one stop was Stonehenge. There was something so stunning about it. Even in the 15 degree weather.

NOTD: OPI's DS Radiance

I picked up another bottle in the discontinued line: Designer Shades. I was planning for it to be a one time thing (not really in the habit of paying $6 a bottle when I can grab OPI cheaper). But I saw this silver and fell in love instantly! OPI's DS Radiance is a shimmering metallic foil. I used 2 coats and it dried fast.I also tried it with China Glaze's Crackle and loved it even more. YIPPEE!

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 17

Day 17 - A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently.

Makeup. Yes, makeup has made a great impact on my life. About 2 years ago, I lost my job and starting my blog pulled me out of this funk I was stuck in. This hobby turned into my love into my passion. And anything revolving around my sites has made incred...ible happy. Not to mention I hit my creativity spot! When I finish school, down the road I want to attend The San Francisco Institute of Esthetics & Cosmetology.

Product of the Week: China Glaze's Crackle Polish

I'm pretty sure this product is the neatest thing ever to grace the earth. I am not sure the science of it, but you apply 1 or 2 coats of nail polish to your nails. After drying apply (quickly) the crackle polish and in seconds, it splits in all directions making it like my pictures below. These nails remind me of vampire nails. For some reason haha.

OPI has their own version called Shatter that came out with the Katy Perry collection. I believe OPI was first. China Glaze does come with 6 different shades. But personally I think the black is the only one to get. It's ultra sexy. You can be sure to see me using this all the freakin time!!!!

I know I have been doing more and more nail stuff lately, but I've picked up a few more shifts at work now and they are pretty conservative and my makeup won't fit in there. Sad, I know. :(

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 16

Day 16 - A picture of your most treasured item.

Yeah, I'm not being too original. But I love my macbaby more than anything else ever. I take it to work, school, my friends and out. It goes everywhere I do. It's my life. If you have a Mac you understand, otherwise you PC freaks SUCK IT!!!

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 15

Day 15 - A picture of something you want to do before you die.

I know most people say "get married" "have kids" "sky dive", but I just want to travel EVERYWHERE. I want to have a job where I can live in London for 3 months and spend 3 weeks in Dubai and a month in Australia. I love change and don't like sitting still for long. So I have a huge list.

NOTD: OPI/Alice in Wonderland - Mad as a Hatter

This color is nothing short of amazing. It truly reminds me of NYE confetti and how is that not awesome! I used 2 coat and a base coat to smooth it out. It's OPI so it doesn't chip that much. That can be hard with glitter polishes. This is my favorite color in the set. It even photographed pretty well.

Do you like it?

Jolly Ranchers Makeup

I was walking to my car the other afternoon, and saw this box on the ground. It caught my eye with the various bright colors and such. I went out sporting my inspired Jolly Ranch makeup in the burbs for my friends spa party, then out for drinks with some female friends. Great night!

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 14

Day 14 - A picture of someone you could never imagine your life without.

I'll be honest, sometimes I want to scream or throw heavy objects at the drama or stupid shit goes on...but I love my friends to death. One of the most important things in my life is laughter. There is no shortage of that with them haha. And these two are my adopted family. Love you guys! :)

NOTD: OPI/Alice in Wonderland - Thanks So Muchness!

I bought the Alice in Wonderland by OPI set like over a year ago, so I figure I would share. Better late than never, right?

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 13

Day 13 - A picture of your favorite band or artist.

Is it any surprise I chose Christina Aguilera? She has been my favorite musical artist since I was a teenager. I have seen her live 2x and it brought tears to my eyes watching her perform. I'm in awe of her complexity and how she evolves every year. She has the most jaw dropping voice and was stunning in Burlesque. Hello, I saw it 9x! Can't wait for DVD release!!!!

How hot is she?!

NOTD: Zoya in Savita

When I ordered this I didn't expect to love it so much. I prefer stop sign engine reds, but this deep, dark red is superbly gorgeous.  Zoya has fastly moved up my list!

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 12

Day 12 - A picture of something you love.

Glitter! I love glitter more than a girl prolly should. I wear it work (in a respectful way), to do my errands, class and out. Basically all the time. Glitter just makes me happy. Maybe cause it's shiny.

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 11

Day 11 - A picture of something you hate.

I hate phone tag and people who can't return calls. It is my ultimate pet peeve. My rule is I call you 3x in a week and you cant return. I'm done. No drama, just the truth. Don't be rude!!!

30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 10

Day 10 - A picture of the person you do the most messed up things with.

I don't really get messed up anymore. The whole being an adult and responsible. BAH! It sucks. But there was a time when I was a naughty, naughty girl and I enjoyed it! haha.

I love and miss you pookie!! :)

The Ultimate OCC Lip Tar Post

If I had a series called 'product of the decade', this would win! OCC aka Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics has the most amazing product EVER! Think I'm being dramatic? I own 12 shades. I wish I had every color, but that would cost $400. Some day I promise!!!!  These were taken with my old camera (miss you), cause my phone would capture this beauty. They are only $13 a tube and you only need a drop or 2 for pure color pigmentation and it lasts up to 8 hours. They are not kiss proof, which is the only down side :(

What OCC says:
A stunning new innovation in lip color, OCC Lip Tar combines the longevity of a lipstick, with the ease of application of a gloss. Goes on slick and moist, and dries down to a satin finish. Ultra-saturated in color, Lip Tar contains an unprecedented amount of pigment - a little goes a very, very long way! An intense yet featherweight layer of color that stands up to the scrutiny of Hi-Def Video and Digital Photography, without ever looking (or feeling!) heavy. Meant to be mixed, Lip Tar comes in concise array of colors for a limitless selection of shades made by you!

Like all of our products, OCC Lip Tar is 100% Vegan and Cruelty-Free, and is also free of parabens and other harsh preservatives. A simple, elegant formula that contains Hemp Oil, Pe
ppermint Oil and Vitamin E, OCC Lip Tar feels as good on the lips as it looks!
