NOTD: L.A. Girls - Black Light Polish

Not impressed. I'll get right to the point. Sure it's a cheaper brand, but I thought 'how cool'. Yeah, not too happy with this. The yellow was gummy looking and insanely sheer. I used 5 coats.

I did only pay $1.99 each, but still...I have standards. :P

NOTD: NYX in Fame

Glitter! I'm running off to bed, so just a quickie here. It's quite a gorgeous purple, but alone I'm not impressed. As a overcoat, I think it would have fared better.

NOTD: L.A. Girl in Gold Plated

This color looks so popping ( yes that is a word) I had hope it would turn out just as. Not so much. As you can see it the pictures it became sooooo sheer. After 3 coats, it still was pretty sheer.

Mani/Pedi Time!

Being a tom boy for so many years growing up, I didn't fully embrace being girlie until college. To top it off I'd never ever had a manicure and pedicure. I have always been an avid nail bitter. It's a nervous problem. When an email was sent to me from WeDeal.com I knew I wanted to take advantage of it and get my manicure and pedicure.

Techni Colour Nail & Day Spa

I was trying to get my nails filled last week, but every place I looked into was costing 25+. Way more than I wanted to pay. I mean, hello I only paid $30 to get them done the first time. Sometimes I forget how many cute, boutique stores are in Evanston. I walked pass Techni Colour Nail & Day Spa and noticed their really decent prices. $16 for fill ins...yes!

NOTD: NYX in Pimp My Nail

I was feeling half and half about this color. While, the color is pretty and bright...it's very sheer. I needed 4 coats to make it look solid. Sheer polish is an annoyance with me. It took some time to dry and stayed a little gummy. You can see my mess. :(
