Lime Crime Review

I was uber excited when my package came into the mail yesterday. For the longest time I have wanted to try Lime Crime cosmetics. If you have seen the website, that is Doe Deere. She is the face and founder of her company and has one of the brightest (literally) and fashion rock star blogs I have had the pleasure of reading.

I have constantly wanted to order from Lime Crime for ages now, but the prices are right up there with MAC and for a girl who works part time and putting herself thru school it just hasn't seemed possible. Well, until Black Friday hit. I saw the Facebook update talking about a 40% off everything sale. I was so there!

I just ordered one lipstick (damn small budget) and I can't say one negative thing about it! The packaging is absoluutely killer. Unicorns? Yes, please! I was really pleased with the color, because you know when you order online it really is a gamble. I wore it to work tonight. LOVE!

Pro's
  • creamy
  • pigmented
  • does not dry lips
  • last for hours
  • adorable packaging
Con's
  • regular priced at $16

Rating: 9.5/10

Burlesque Makeup: Christina Aguilera - Express

This makeup was inspired from the song "Express", which was one of my favorites from the movie. Christina's makeup is very bold and direct. Her cat eye is a little more extended and I have a glitter in my black.

There are a few pictures from before I went out to see Burlesque for the 4th time. I just can't stop seeing this movie...it's sooooo beautful! It was night when I took the pictures, so they are a little off balance, but you get it. :P

What I Used:
Eyes
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Stila smudge pot in Black
Bare Minerals' e/s in Black Leather

hello shortness, my new hair

It's no secret that I have curly hair and I hate it. I've always wanted to try a chemical to straighten my hair, even by just a little. Pivot Point is only 2 blocks from my apartment and last week I gave it a go. Pivot Point is a cosmology school therefore the prices are very low for services. Instead of paying over $100, it cost me $40. Well, I had a coupon so essentially cost $20. $26 with tip.

My poor hair didn't take it too well. I have dyed hair, so mixing with the relaxer a lot broke off actually. :( And brushing it an over excessive amount of hair came out. Yesterday I decided to get it cut off.

This is what is was supposed to look like:
The girl took a tad too much off. It's even shorter than Christina Aguilera in Burlesque!
My hair grows fast and maybe I have some bangs. Thanks, Xtina. Much love!
