2016 Game Changer

Happy 2016!

I'm really disappointed in myself how I let this blog just sit here and gather virtual dust. The last 8 months have been stressful and a game changer, dealing with medical issues and the decision to change my life around. I still have an obsession with makeup - that has NOT changed. I promise. But now with some reflection and great medical insurance to deal with my medical stuff...I decided I want my blog to progress. In June I started working out and changing my eating habits. After 7 months of working on myself I lost about 40 pounds and 40 inches, dropping 3 dress sizes! So spending a couple hours a day at the gym gave me no time for this blog. Sad story. :( But now, I want to incorporate fitness life into this makeup junkies blog.

I can't guarantee it'll be like it was when I first started it. I've been focusing on my recent diagnosis of "severe canal stenosis", and unfortunately it means I'm medicated most of my day and in so much pain that I cannot even get myself into the gym. Which to me is tragic. SERIOUSLY. That is how much I have changed. :)

So stay tuned. I will be blogging this week again.

Epic Fail: Nikki Minaj

I haven't done a fail in awhile now have I?

I have tried, but I just cant get into nicki minaj. What is her deal, really? I have never seen her wear a outfit that wasn't as crazy as Gaga gets. Look below. What was SHE thinking? Some people do like her and her music. But I'm not one of them. Sorry!

Spring Purse

It's March, finally! Which to me translates into spring. Even if the weather is still only in the 40's I don't care. Winter will be gone soon. Plus I will be heading to warmer climate in 18 days. WOO! My polka dots purse has taken a good beating this winter and it was time for a new purse. I went to Discovery, which I only like for accessories due to the fact they only go to a size large. LAME!

Product of the Week: Lola's Wigs

 

This is my second post for Product of the Week, and its a little different. I'm not raving about a certain brand and specific product in that brand. I've been watching a lot of Hannah Montana lately. Don't judge! haha. I don't know why but I'm really addicted to that show. I love the music and some of the costumes.

Emily Osment, plays Lily and Lola on the show. Lola is her way of dressing up and hiding the fact she is Hannah Montana's best friend. Lola is always decked out in these bright, colorful wigs. I love them to death!!!! And just to clarify, I was into wigs before I started watching the show. Promise! She reminds me a little bit of a real life Japanese cartoon. I look forward to another crazy wig every episode. 

The pictures below are screen shots I took, so they might look a bit hazy. But you get the point! Those wigs are not for everyone on a daily basis, but for me I effen love them!!!!

Epic Fail: Hannah Montana

My eyes are burning!!!

For some reason I have been watching Hannah Montana on my Netflix streaming. Crazy, I know. I usually love her outfits (as Hannah Montana, not Miley). But when I saw this, my first thought was, "my eeeeeeeeyyyyyeeeeesssssss!" I'm all for color and crazy style, obviously but what the hell was her stylist thinking? There is way too much going on. If she lost the pink gloves and the belt, I could go with it. But uck, seriously. I just don't know why this outfit was choose. 

Which is why this is so an EPIC FAIL! hahaha.

POPLUXE by Richie Rich S/S 2011

For those who don't know, Richie Rich is a fashion designer and pretty much a celebutante. Back in September 2010, Richie signed on with The King Collective to start a new line called PopLuxe. The collection was one of the first to be shown at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center and featured Ellen DeGeneres. That's when I become intrigued. I like his designs. Maybe its the mix of whimsical and bondage...

It was on Temptalia who posted pictures of the makeup that got my attention. It made me laugh and I wanted to recreate it for some time. And time is what I have lately! lol. I changed it up a bit, using orange instead of red and not using the nasty looking wigs.

I'm not really into hauls. I tried early this year, but didn't stick. Prolly due to the fact I don't shop as much as I would like. Where's my sugar momma? hehe I needed some new accessories for my new hair and upcoming trip. Plus I had these 30% coupons that had to be used be this month. Yay, birthday month. :)

OOTD: Margarita Night

I don't really do an outfit of the day, do I? I think it's because this blog focuses on makeup. Lately I've been getting into fashion more. I started watching runway show and photo shoots looking at the makeup being done. Well, now I'm evolving...

Over the last weekend I celebrated my friend, Emily's 25th birthday, who've I know for ages. I pulled together a few things from my closet for my outfit of the day. I was in a bit of a hurry after my nap went too long haha. But because we were drinking at Blue Agave I choose to go with green eyes.
