Boxycharm Novemeber 2019 - Photos/Review

Boxycharm decided to elevate themselves and their plans. With 3 different plans available (although BoxyLuxe and Boxy Premium are on the waitlist for MONTHS.) Boxycharm went up in $5 per month in price - they told us it was due to the fact of nicer products. I can attest. This box is my favorite in quite awhile. I LOVE EVERY SINGLE ITEM! Keep it up Boxy and get me off this waitlist! :)

Boxycharm set of 2 brushes - The large multipurpose powder brush is perfect for liquids, creams, powders or mineral products. The foundation brush has an oval base to help with precise foundation placement and seamless blending. These ultra-soft brushes are hand-crafted, synthetic and cruelty-free. Retails for $35

Vitamasques Morning Goggle Eye Mask in Brighten and Protect - When I opened the package I wondered where the mask was until I noticed it was so small...and it was a superhero shaped eye mask. Geek out! I feel like Stargirl wearing this. LOVE.    This mask protects against pollution and blue light. It brightens and helps your puffy-eyes. Retails for $7

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter - I'm thrilled to receive another BECCA product. This company has been happy whenever I have their product. This highlighter blends pigments with liquids, creating a creamy feel that applies seamlessly and never cakes. The award-winning highlighting powder comes in over a dozen shades. Retails $39

Dominique Cosmetics Celestial Thunder Eye Shadow Palette - I was in awe of this palette when I saw it in the box. I look forward to playing with these beautiful colors. 12 shades of vivid pigments, shadows, and glittery foils. Retails for $44

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Anti-Wrinkle Eye Treatment - This was the 1 item I picked for the new customization. A proprietary blend of fruit stem cells and Vitamin C infused into certified organic, antioxidant-rich botanical juices works to reduce the appearance of fine lines around the eyes and minimize the appearance of dark circles. Retails for $50

BoxyCharm October 2019 - Review/Photos

Holy Boxy, am I behind. It’s only a little over a month since my last post but I have boxes piling up wanting to explode to be used. This box being for October I was hoping for a spooky or even one product that could be a Halloween vibe. But there is nothing along those lines. That doesn’t mean this box wasn’t a success...a beauty blender sponge? Squeeee!

Iconic London Lip Plumping Gloss in Lovestruck- The high-shine formula is infused with a biomimetic peptide, which helps to support natural collagen production for more defined and voluminous looking lips. I never buy lip plumping products because on the few occasions I have many years ago I did not see any results. But I do enjoy the faint tingling, cool feeling of this gloss. (Do you taste anise/licorice?) I even see a slight difference in my lips. Retails for $26

Illuminati Cosmetics Sponge
- An edgeless, reusable, high-definition cosmetic sponge applicator. I receive so many brushes (not a complaint) but I love cosmetic sponges to apply makeup. I love getting sponges and this one is fantastic! Retails for $21

Touch in Sol Pretty Filter Glassy Skin Balm - This item is the one I picked in customization. I wasn’t sure what to expect from it - the container is much smaller than I imagined, although I still consider a full size product. This ultra-hydrating skin balm has a super smooth texture that melts into your skin like butter(literally). It gives your skin a nice glow and also works as a primer. Retails for $32

Smashbox "Always On" Liquid Eyeliner -  This black liner glides on with ease, is a highly pigmented and waterproof formula that lasts for up to 24 hours. The fine tip is easy-to-control and draws thin to thick lines with a easy to hold handle. Retails for $22

Dose of Colors Blushing Berries Palette - This palette is the essence of matte fall if i've seen one. They blend pretty decently, but wiped off my hand too easily after swatching...It includes 5 colors in the berry/plum family: Retails for $32
    ◦    Berry Chic: Dusty Blush Pink
    ◦    Rose Berry: Brown Rose
    ◦    Berry Pop: Cool Raspberry
    ◦    Mixed Berries: Blackberry
    ◦    Berry Black: Rich Dark Black Color

BoxyCharm August 2019 Review/Photos

I'm falling behind...yikes! Here's August 2019, enjoy!

Wander Beauty Glow Ahead Illuminating Face Oil - Yes, face oils are all the rage but Wander Beauty stands out. It helps brighten, moisturize, and improve the appearance of skin over time. They recommend 2-3 drops; I choose to double that amount. The gorgeous pink pearlized does everything it advertises. While the glow is subtle - they’re definitely improving my skin. I only wish the pink glow was more prominent. Retails for $42.

Tarte Big Ego Mascara - I have a new favorite mascara! The case/package is such a neon pink that it can barely be photographed. With 1 coat my lashes popped more than any other mascara. And 3 coats will lift your lashes and delivers a fully-loaded look that lasts up to 16 hours. Retails for $23

PÜR Pink X Barbie Glitterally Pink Signature Brightening Peel Off Mask - I was torn with this mask; it's a brilliant glitter peel off (yay) but another brightening (ugh) mask. That wasn't the only benefit it offered as the main selling point. It was quite stellar at deep cleaning our my pores. Bring on more of these masks! Retails for $26

Lashaholic Lashes - Of the many subscription boxes I have over many (many, many) months - never have I ever received lashes. CRIMINAL. I'm unfamiliar with this brand and hope more lashes are to come in future boxes. These lashes were a bit of a struggle. As you can see from the photos they look beautiful and have a thick lash line for the illusion of eyeliner. The thick band made is difficult to apply, more so than my other lashes - I spend 30 plus minutes. Skip these! Retails for $15

Becca Hydra-Mist & Refresh Powder - Winner, Winner chicken dinner! Like setting sprays I don't use setting powder. It's 90% cause I'm lazy hehe. I have a basic $5 drug one that it pretty terrible and turns my skin ghost-like sheen. But this Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder is unlike any other. It's offered in 2 shades in this weightless powder. It's formulated with 50% water, so when applied it has this cool mist-like effect. Ultra-fine, light-reflecting powders float over skin to smooth and blur the look of fine lines and imperfections. Reapply it as needed to keep makeup looking fresh all day. Retails for $39

BoxyCharm July 2019 Review/Photos

Boxy’s theme for July was Au Naturale. How do you feel about it? I don’t feel they all fit under that theme but for the most part, I am approving of these products. Only 1 product did I not like. 😞 Elemis and Boxy put a flyer for a $10 facial at Ulta - cause my subscription boxes sit by my bed for a couple weeks being backlogged I didn't notice it until the appointments sold out. SAD PANDA!

Elemis Superfood Vital Veggie Food Mask - Wheatgrass, Kale, and Nettle replenish the skin to nourish, smooth and brighten. Elemis provided its amazing night cream I raved about in the Limited Skincare Box; It makes your skin softer, smoother, more radiant. This is my second product from Elemis and I’m becoming a fan of the green(literally) company. I’m looking forward to their other products. Retails for $35

Appeal Deep Taupe Gel Liner - this liner is multi-functional as an eyeliner and lip liner. The shade is disappointing, y’all know how I feel about browns/taupes. Retails for $21
Luxie Gaea 3 Piece Brush Set - I always look forward to Luxie's brushes, each time I get one or set that they have different patterns or textures. This time the brushes have an Eco theme with handles made of pink wood in the pouch that it came in being completely recyclable - how can you not love?   Retails for $30

Butter London Natural Goddess Eye Shadow Palette - it was a pleasant surprise receiving a Butter London palette mainly because I only thought they sold nail polish. I have so many fond memories of going to Sephora over the years and testing out all of their fantastic yet expensive shades. Glad to be elevated! This pallet has six highly pigmented, long-lasting shades ranging from matte, dark brown to metallic green with shimmer. Retails for $32
Alamar Mother Of Pearl Gloss in Corazon - This gloss hydrates your lips while showing off a shimmery, smooth, shining, iridescent effect. The last item I received from this company was the blush set and I was totally unimpressed, that’s partly because I don’t use blush. This gloss is non-sticky and works alone or as a topper. Retails for $10

BoxyLuxe June 2019 - Review/Photos

I now have a few months of BoxyCharm under my belt. This is the first month of the upgraded, Boxyluxe. There was a little confusion (partly my fault for missreading) I feel the description is a little misleading as well. But every three months you get higher end products worth over $250 for your box. My confusion was I thought you get your BoxyCharm and the BoxyLuxe for about $60. But the upgraded version is you get 8 to 9 products of the higher end value. After the confusion was over and the fog lifted I was fine with the value and understood that this really became like a quarterly subscription box. With all the issues that I’ve had with how long it’s taken to get shipped to me and gotten lost in the mail, this box shipped and delivered in two days. I was floored! Overall out of the nine products there are a few that I love but most I wouldn’t go out and buy for myself. But I’m going to keep the upgraded quarterly version and see how it progresses. How do you like your BoxyLuxe?

Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast - The description on the front of this bottle throws me off. I assumed it was dry shampoo but after spraying it in my hair it became stiff and crunchy. Then I realized it was hairspray and not a dry shampoo. This is a new brand for me but I have heard some favorable things about their products. But somebody that thought this was not hairspray and applied it before leaving for work it was quite an unpleasant surprise. Retails for $29

Dominique Cosmetics Lemonade Lip Gloss - at first glance I am annoyed that this lipgloss comes in that bulky rectangle square shape but that’s really the only negative thing I have to say. Strawberry Lemonade is a medium-sheer, lightweight lipgloss that gives your lips the allure of being a little bit fuller. The color is a light pink but you do need a few coats because it is so sheer. Retails for $17

PYT Turbo On The Go Hair Dryer - this season is about the mini hairdryers and they are freaking adorable! The mini turbo dryers came in either pink, purple, blue or coral. I was disappointed to get coral, but I did notice a handful of people that also have BoxyLuxe in the Illinois area all got coral. Whether it was the most shipped out color or it was delivered by region, who knows? But I tested it out last week and I am floored by its strength. My current hairdryer is a pink Revlon that I’ve had for 10 years. I would say use my hairdryer an average of 1 to 2 times a week and it is perfect for what I need. I have very thick hair and it takes a long time for it to dry. mostly, I like to let it air dry. In 10 minutes this little hair dryer did the job! Retails for $85

No PoreBlem Prime Essence - This product is a bit of enigma. I really had to do some digging to find any information on this product. If you look at the packaging majority of the information besides the name is in Korean. I couldn’t decipher what was the purpose of this product? Is it a primer? This primer is supposed to be applied as the last step of your skin care. It’s supposed to absorb into your skin to give a smoother texture and shrink the look of your pores. It absolutely did nothing for my pores and it would absorb into my skin just sat on top of it. While I am BoxyCharm‘s website they had a lot of great reviews this product was a total waste and something on I’ll never use.   Retails for $23

Tarteist PRO Glow Palette V3 - The first spoiler the BoxyCharm sent about BoxyLuxe was for this pallet. I was thrilled! I am a fan of Tart, they're a very excellent company. This palette consists of 6 shades of blush, bronzer, and highlighter. If you're not aware they formulate with Amazonian Clay. To be honest I will only use 2 to 3 shades of this pallet due to the fact that I have rosacea and don’t use blush. But the shades are pigmented and come in matte and shimmer as well. The blush can also double as eye shadow. Headliner and A-Lister my favorite shades. Retails for $45

Dr. Brandt Clean Biotic Cleanser - it always makes me happy when I open one of my subscription boxes and there’s a Dr. Brandt item. And to boot, it’s a new one I haven’t tried. The clean biotic is the pH balance yogurt cleanser with chlorophyll. Isn’t that a mouthful? LOL, The chlorophyll is there to reduce redness and irritation. And that’s the part that really interests. So I will give it time and see but based on previous products I’ve used from this company I have high hopes. Retails for $35

Honeymoon Farmacy Glow Serum - first let’s talk about the scent of this product. HONEY 🍯! When I opened the serum bottle my sense wafted with the smell of honey. This product is said to promote cell renewable targets hyperpigmentation and also helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles. That’s a lot of work for this yellow serum. It definitely hydrates the heck out of my skin delivering a smooth and retexturize appearance. I’m sold so far! Retails for $58

Skin & Co Roma Truffle Therapy Radiant Dew Mist - My first feelings when I saw this product was a disappointment. Another setting spray? This is the third in the last few weeks that I’ve received. And that is more in the last couple of years. When sprayed on my hands I didn’t notice anything in the sent doesn’t smell like truffles. Although it’s difficult to tell in the photos below I spritzed it a few times over my make up end it does give a sort of dewy complexion. It’s there to help rebalance your skin’s pH level and tighten your pores as well. Retails for $35

Tresique Good Vibes Mascara - When I first looked at this crazy big tube I do not think this was mascara. The good vibes mascara is an all-in-one lash enhancing mascara that help affect. The wand is an interesting shape and I found when I was coding my lashes it would hit my lid. Retails for $25
