BoxyCharm October 2019 - Review/Photos
Holy Boxy, am I behind. It’s only a little over a month since my last post but I have boxes piling up wanting to explode to be used. This box being for October I was hoping for a spooky or even one product that could be a Halloween vibe. But there is nothing along those lines. That doesn’t mean this box wasn’t a success...a beauty blender sponge? Squeeee!
Iconic London Lip Plumping Gloss in Lovestruck- The high-shine formula is infused with a biomimetic peptide, which helps to support natural collagen production for more defined and voluminous looking lips. I never buy lip plumping products because on the few occasions I have many years ago I did not see any results. But I do enjoy the faint tingling, cool feeling of this gloss. (Do you taste anise/licorice?) I even see a slight difference in my lips. Retails for $26
Illuminati Cosmetics Sponge- An edgeless, reusable, high-definition cosmetic sponge applicator. I receive so many brushes (not a complaint) but I love cosmetic sponges to apply makeup. I love getting sponges and this one is fantastic! Retails for $21
Touch in Sol Pretty Filter Glassy Skin Balm - This item is the one I picked in customization. I wasn’t sure what to expect from it - the container is much smaller than I imagined, although I still consider a full size product. This ultra-hydrating skin balm has a super smooth texture that melts into your skin like butter(literally). It gives your skin a nice glow and also works as a primer. Retails for $32
Smashbox "Always On" Liquid Eyeliner - This black liner glides on with ease, is a highly pigmented and waterproof formula that lasts for up to 24 hours. The fine tip is easy-to-control and draws thin to thick lines with a easy to hold handle. Retails for $22
Dose of Colors Blushing Berries Palette - This palette is the essence of matte fall if i've seen one. They blend pretty decently, but wiped off my hand too easily after swatching...It includes 5 colors in the berry/plum family: Retails for $32
◦ Berry Chic: Dusty Blush Pink
◦ Rose Berry: Brown Rose
◦ Berry Pop: Cool Raspberry
◦ Mixed Berries: Blackberry
◦ Berry Black: Rich Dark Black Color

Ipsy Glam Bag July 2019
I have been debating whether or not to cancel ipsy. It’s my only subscription with the small size products. And truth be told I haven’t been loving the items they been sending. Maybe 2 to 3 are winners a month. I just love those bags and collecting them. I think it’s a obsession?
Red Earth Brighten Concentrate Oil - of the few face oils that have been sent this season, red earth has the most alluring scents. It may be the Kakadu Plum that helps this elixir leave your skin rejuvenated and baby 👶 soft. Retails for $45
Trust Fund Beauty in Where’s My Money - is an opaque pink lilac shade that makes your skin look tanner. Approved! A full NOTD post will be featured later. Retails for $15
Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Crown of My Canopy- at first when I open the bag and saw there was a wet and wild product my stomach dropped. What was this doing in my ipsy? But I gave it a chance; I swatched it and the color pay off wasn't great. I'd call it a baked bronzer cause this is so not a highlighter. Retails for $5.50
Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Babe Alert - I’m definitely happy to not get another lipgloss although the shade is like so many others that I get in these subscription boxes. Smashbox's wand is pretty fantastic at making it easy to apply like you had a lip liner. The color dries quickly into matte and doesn’t dry out your lips badly. I would definitely check out this product in other shades. Retails for $24
South Seas 🌊 Skincare Mother of Pearl Illuminator - this illuminator dries fast and moisturizes without making you feel greasy, which is a hard feat. Honestly, I’m quite impressed and want a giant bottle. This product is the surprise of the glam bag; I really thought it was going to be another crappy primer that caused me to break out. But what a great summer product! Retails for $24

FOTD: Sangria Party Makeup
Last weekend I was getting reading for my friends Sangria party downtown and decided to theme it up Sangria inspired makeup and I'll throw it on the blog. I somehow, even though had 4 hours to get ready, ended up running late and didn't have time to put on my lashes. *cries* My lashes need falsies. They are meant to be. hehe. Anyhoo, this was the first time I used my Morphe crayon and to quote Joey Lawrence, "whoa!" The color is stunning right? It also lasted over 10 hours.

EW Taylor Swift May 2019 Inspired Makeup
If you follow my blog, then you know over the last year it's mainly been Ipsy reviews. Ever since I moved back to Chicago I haven't really felt too much inspiration. The last 9 month I have been temping for this company - putting in the hard work until I was made permanent. Once it happened, a great weight lifted off my soul and this few weeks I've upped my social media game. Along with increasing my blog flow (not just Ipsy posts anymore. YAY!).
When my Entertainment Weekly with Taylor Swift on the cover came last month, I KNEW that I NEEDED to recreated her look. It made me miss all the years I had neon colored hair; every color of the rainbow to be exact.
I liked how this FOTD came out. With the exception of my lashes looking a little lopsided (time to get back into the falsie groove).
