NOTD: China Glaze in Electric Beat

There is something alluring about the "Electric Beat" color. It's this fantastic, off beat blue. A creamy color, that has one fault...its consistency. It has a few coats but kept lumping and clumping. Tragic.

Paris Hotel Las Vegas - Inspired Makeup

It's been ages since I posted any inspired or makeup looks at all. I should be shunned. (don't!) My friend came into town to visit, and I had to spend time at his hotel. He was staying at the Paris Hotel. (No, not in Paris. Gotta love Vegas, you don't have to leave the country to go to Europe.) I left work a little early to spend some quality time at the pool and walked around the hotel and casino. The Paris is one of the mid higher hotels on the strip. They have a lot of bronze/gold and blues going on. While the sun was streaming through the room, it wasn't friendly for photographing. Not to mention we had 30 minutes after the pool to get ready for the evening.

NOTD: Essie in Shifting Power

Shifting Power is a great color, and also not a great color. It’s one of those break evens. In the bottle, it’s a creamy and delicate gold. Applied its streaky and when photographed, its transparent. Not to mention, it makes my hands look fake tanned. That’s real sun baby!

NOTD: OPI in Divine Swine

I guess I have had this color for some time now, and completely forgot about it. My bad. Divine Swine is a girly, bright magenta with chucks of silver glitter. It gets decent coverage on one coat and looks great as a stand alone. OPI knows how to put out a winner of glitters.

Name: Divine Swine
Color: magenta, silver
Texture: chunky glitter in a clear base

NOTD: China Glaze in Angel Wings

It's very strange to look at my real nails. Cause I hate them and love acrylics. Things are crazy with my car in the shop, my coworkers driving me to and from work and my friend coming into town this week. GAH!

I realllllllly love this color from CG. What a winner. You can get away with one coat and this golden, glitter goddess. It dries in about 10 seconds and you can also top it off with a clear base for shininess. (I prefer it matte).

Brand: China Glaze
Collection: Holiday Joy 2012
Name: Angel Wings

Texture: grainy glitter

NOTD: Color Club in Pearl-Spective

I had my car fixed this week, which cleared out my bank account. (cries). A good $950 later...equals no mani and no social spending. Since I had no skip the salon (don't even get me started on the mess that is my roots. shudders). I decided to take off my acrylics (they had grown out far enough). Don't mind my stubby nails.

Eos Shaving Cream

Eos is branching out, holla!

When making my monthly Walgreens run (for dry shampoo), I always slow down at the cosmetics aisles to look at the goods. As I was browsing through the latest sales I saw Eos is now making shaving cream. Ooooh!

Have you used Eos before?

Eos is one of my ultimate favorite lip balms. It comes in the most fun case. It’s pretty much a soft, circular object that has a soft texture. They come in a handful of colors and flavors. My top choice is lemon, I find it quite addicting. Moving on to the reason for this post! Eos makes shaving cream. It’s quite different that I had imagined. The color is a faint pink with a light aroma of strawberries. It has a consistency of lotion and…it’s pretty much lotion completely. When I first used it I thought, "meh." Nothing super moisturizing about it. But the following morning I was sitting at my desk at work, sporting my usual carpi lace leggings and as my calf went back and back entwining and bouncing around...I felt it. I felt the lovely smooth and velvetness that Eos created. Message approved!

Carried Away - I noticed a lot of bloggers weren't exactly thrilled with this color, but I seem to be the exception. I found it to be a delight to apply and only needed 2 coats. It's honestly one of the best chunky glitters I've worked with.

NOTD: China Glaze in Creative Fantasy / Whirled Away

Exactly one month ago was my last post. :(

I'm trying to balance life with 2 blogs, which has proven difficult. I just back from Miami, which I had a business trip there for a few days. The ocean is absolutely beautiful out there! As usual life has been busy busy busy, but on the work from I was promoted twice in a month. :) Very exciting and I'm happy. Anyways, onto...

This is the last one with my lame Sally nails, finally.

Creative Fantasy is a unique purple. It's almost a neon purple with a jelly finish. I used 2 coats, but it covered some nails great and others weren't completely opaque. The color was a little part matte, but I did use a top coat. To top it off I also used, Whirled Away. I wanted to run away after using this color. The glitter was extreme pain to get coverage. The end result was: frumpy mess.
