NOTD: China Glaze - CG in the City

Overall, China Glaze's Metro collection is a solid one. I received a couple of the colors from my brother for my birthday a year ago. CG in the City is supposed to be a glitters of purple, bronze and silver....only its not. It took 3 coats for the coverage you see in my photos. It's a simple glittering color, not complex in the slightest.

NOTD: Zoya in Aurora

Dear Zoya, when havent you made a color that I don't love?

How do you guys feel about Zoya?

aAurora, is a beautiful thick purple filled with starry glitter. What I love about this color is while its filled with glitter, it has a smooth texture. No chunks and bumps that come with glitter polish. I only used to coats to get the thickness you see below.

NOTD: Essie in Shine of the Times

How was everyone's weekend? The weekend is winding down, which does make me a little sad. But glitter does pick me right back up. I don't Essie too often because they are so expensive, but this color makes me giddy!

NOTD: China Glaze in Water You Waiting For?

Holy disappointment! I love glitter and I love the color blue, but what a fail for China Glaze. Water You Waiting For? is part of the Cirque du Soleil collection. Have you seen one of their shows? I have not, but if this polish is a reflection...than...PASS!

Cirque du Soleil is HUGE here is Vegas. Many of their shows play on The Strip. By just looking, the glitter is a sea of blue, green and a little purple. After applying one coat, I could tell this was NOT a winner. I used 3 coats. Each coat was chunky and would not apply smoothly in the least. It dried relatively fast, but even as I applied a new coat the previous coat would move around and ball together. Sorry, China Glaze this is not a winner. :(

NOTD: Zoya in Wednesday and China Glaze in Mosaic Madness

Another day, another post! I'm getting better and hopefully can get on some type of schedule. As much as a big fan I am of Zoya, I only buy during big sales. About a month ago Zoya sent out an email to get three polishes for FREE. Free! All you had to pay was shipping. Sure, $10 was a little high for shipping but I so took advantage. I used the glitter as a top coat, only one coat too. Mosaic Madness gets a lot coverage for speckled glitter.

China Glaze's Hunger Games Collection in Stone Cold

I'm currently in that awkward mid phase of no money to get my nails done, so I bought the ones from Sally's. You know the ones that are a step above stick on's. But a girl does what a girl needs to on her budget. :P

It'd just a normal month when I fall in love with a China Glaze color. I wasn't particularly interested in the Hunger Games collection,  but Stone Cold is another story. The movie is now on DVD but if you haven't seen it there were 12 Districts which coincide with twelve lacquers for China Glaze Spring 2012 Collection. Creative! The color is gorgeous. A matte charcoal grey/black with shimmers. I'm a huge fan of matte colors, plus they dry super quickly.

Retail Price: $6.99

Quick Post, Quick Eyes

Okay, super quick post! Another couple pictures that were found on my phone. This quick look was my go-to at my last job. If you haven't used Naked Cosmetics before, I really recommend using them. And Goodnight my lovelies!
