Burlesque Makeup: Ali, small town girl

I'm so beyond excited to see Burlesque. I've watched every trailer numerous times and watched the cast members on TV talking about the movie, not to mention been listening to the soundtrack everyday for the last week nonstop. It's absolutely delicious.

Tess, a retired dancer and owner of the venue, struggles to keep the aging theater alive, facing all kinds of financial and artistic challenges. With the Lounges troupe members becoming increasingly distracted by personal problems and a threat coming from a wealthy businessman's quest to buy the spot from Tess, the good fortune seems to have abandoned the club altogether. Meanwhile, the life of Ali, a small-town girl from Iowa, is about to change dramatically. Hired by Tess as a waitress at the Lounge, Ali escapes a hollow past and quickly falls in love with the art of burlesque. Backed by new found friends amongst the theater's crew, she manages to fulfill her dreams of being on stage herself. .

I decided the other day to do a mini series this week after getting inspired from the makeup. I started with Ali. Ali was fairly simple and only had to use a few products. Her look in the picture below is basic and cream neutral shadow, a light brown in her crease. She also has slight pink to her lips. I didn't use lashes, but just mascara to blend with her look.

What I Used:

  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • NYX jumbo pencil in Milk
  • High Voltage Cosmetics e/s in Champagne Supernova
  • Fenzza e/s in Marble Bronze
  • Fenzza e/l in Brown
  • Lancome e/s in Madame Muse
  • Benefit's Bad Gal mascara
  • NYX lip stick in Orange Soda
  • Maybelline Dream Mousse
