30 Day Photo Challenge - Day 21

Day 21 - A picture of something you wish you could forget.

This is really loaded actually. As much fun as Pride 2010 was, it had a lot of drama. And of course an ex trying to reappear is not very pleasant. This year for Pride 2011, since I am moving to Nevada a few days later, I want to keep it simple. I'm thinking just hanging out with my bestie instead and going with whatever flow. And working out the previous 2 years' kinks. lol.

Well I kinda went off on a tangent. Going thru my pictures trying to choose one for day 21 was a tad too painful for my taste. I could have gone simple and shown a picture of an ex, but I tend to set those pictures on fire. Fire pretty!!!! Anyways, I picked this picture because my friend broke my heart and cut me of his life. So I wish I could forget everything we did together (that was a lot). This was a friend who was like a effen brother to me. I even brought him into my family. I guess it seems childish, but I'm tired of trying to move forward and just plain exhausted from being sad, angry and bewildered about it. I have gotten a lot of advice about it, and you think I would have learned my lesson the 2nd time around. Ironically Christina Aguilera's You Lost Me is playing right now on my Pandora. So I added the lyrics below. It's eerie how accurate her words are. Minus the relationship undertones of course.

Wow, I sure rambled here. Oops.

I am done, smoking gun
We've lost it all, the love is gone
She has won. Now it's no fun
We've lost it all, the love is gone

And we had magic
And this is tragic
You couldn't keep your hands to yourself

I feel like our world's been infected
And somehow you left me neglected
We found our life's been changed
Babe, you lost me

And we tried, oh how we cried
We lost ourselves, the love has died
And oh, we tried, you can't deny
We're left as shells, we lost the fight

And we had magic
And this is tragic
You couldn't keep your hands to yourself

I feel like our world's been infected
And somehow you left me neglected
We found our life's been changed
Babe, you lost me

Now I know you're sorry and we were sweet
But you chose lust when you deceived me
You'll regret it but it's too late
How can I ever trust you again?
